IRNA reports Khuzestan deputy security and law‑enforcement chief Valiollah Hayati said, citing Iraqi authorities, the Shalamcheh and Chazabeh crossings were closed from Saturday midnight until further notice; movement of people and goods are prohibited. He urged merchants, drivers and travelers to avoid the crossings. Both are among Khuzestan’s main official Iran–Iraq trade routes.

Iraq welcomed Saudi Arabia's decision to delay retaliatory action and condemned any attacks that threaten Saudi security and stability.
