IRNA reports Khuzestan deputy security and law‑enforcement chief Valiollah
Hayati said, citing Iraqi authorities, the Shalamcheh and Chazabeh crossings
were closed from Saturday midnight until further notice; movement of people and
goods are prohibited. He urged merchants, drivers and travelers to avoid the
crossings. Both are among Khuzestan’s main official Iran–Iraq trade routes.
