Yemeni sources said on the 12th that 73 vessels transited the Bab al-Mandeb in
the past 48 hours, equivalent to 98.6% of the average daily volume before the
Houthi maritime embargo on Saudi Arabia on July 20. They said international
vessels other than Saudi ships are being allowed through and transit is "safe
and smooth", broadly near normal levels.
