At a Sept. 18 State Council briefing Zhang Xuetao, director of the Real Estate Market Supervision Department at the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, said that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period the ministry will improve housing provident fund management and services. Measures include digital upgrades to simplify withdrawal procedures, shorten loan processing times, implement nationwide mutual recognition of contribution records, and speed up transfers, account continuation and cross‑region loans.
