CHINA'S CPU MAKER HAIGUANG will unveil a new class of chip in Shenzhen on Sept. 22 targeted at physical‑world applications. The chip is designed for robots, machine vision and smart manufacturing. Yu Xiaohui was appointed vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Pan Wenbo was appointed vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Li Chenggang was appointed Representative for International Trade Negotiations of the People's Republic of China (minister-level), with Ling Ji concurrently named deputy representative; Cai Dong was appointed deputy director of the National Financial Regulatory Administration; Zhang Yongjun was appointed deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of China; Zhang Xiaotang was appointed deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration. The State Council removed Niu Yibing from the post of deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of China.
