U.S. ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) futures fell more than 5% after reports the Trump administration is considering a 90-day diesel export ban.

Schneider Electric plans an offer for smart-device maker Shelly Group, valuing the company at about €1.2bn (≈$1.37bn). The firms signed an agreement on a €70-per-share offer. Schneider says the deal will combine its residential, retrofit and small-commercial building tech products with Shelly’s software-centric home energy management platform. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in Q1 2027.
