China A-share power sector bucked the market; Zhejiang Xinneng hit a limit-up, while Jiangsu Xinneng, Guodian Power, SDIC Power and Bao New Energy were among the top gainers.

VIS inaugurated its first advanced wafer fab in Singapore, VSMC, a joint venture with NXP. Trial production began in June; construction-to-trial took 18 months, well below the typical >2 years. Driven by AI infrastructure demand the new fab’s initial capacity was sold out on start-up and first-batch yields are at least 99%. The plant is slated for mass production in early 2027 and will produce interposers/mid-layers for advanced packaging used by NVIDIA, Google and Broadcom. TSMC holds about a 19% stake in VIS.

Reports said Ubtech's bionic U1 series deliveries could be delayed, with the U1 Pro pushed to Nov. 30; a Sept. 28 inquiry to Ubtech's JD.com flagship store customer service reportedly said the pre-sale had not been delivered. Ubtech said the reports are incorrect, that U1 deliveries have begun and units are being produced and shipped in batches according to customer order sequence, with order fulfillment progressing steadily.
