At the morning open, China’s main futures contracts were mostly lower. No.20 rubber fell over 3%; INE crude (SC), rapeseed meal, rubber, Shanghai silver and alumina dropped more than 2%; Shanghai gold was down about 2% and lithium carbonate slipped over 1%. On the upside, methanol rose nearly 4%, China–Europe container freight gained over 2%, pure benzene climbed more than 1%, and styrene (EB) and PET bottle flake advanced around 1%.

Hong Kong stocks fell in morning trade. The Hang Seng Index was down 0.63% at 24,486.52 and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 1.37% to 4,237.34. China property names, biotech, PCB and electronic-components stocks outperformed; autos and ports & shipping underperformed. Notable movers: Xiyin‑W (00625.HK) down about 11%; Geely Automobile (00175.HK) -7.2%; NIO‑SW (09866.HK) -5.3%; XPeng (09868.HK) down ~4%; BYD Co. (01211.HK) -3.6%. Gain leaders included Akeso (09926.HK) +14.5%, Vanke (02202.HK) +7.1%, Yangtze Optical Fibre & Cable (06869.HK) +~6% and China Overseas Land & Investment (00688.HK) +4.7%. Newly listed stocks were mixed: 03757.HK -5.5%, 09607.HK -8.77%, 03228.HK +9.3%, 06731.HK +4.8%.
