According to CNBC, U.S. Director of National Intelligence and AI chief Clayton said the U.S. is in talks with 20-25 AI firms.

The Wall Street Journal reports venture firm Disruptive is raising up to $10bn for a new fund, which would place it among Silicon Valley’s largest 'super funds.' Founded by Alex Davis, Disruptive gained attention after an early stake in Groq following NVIDIA’s roughly $20bn licensing agreement with Groq late last year. The firm has also backed open‑source AI model developer Reflection AI. Insiders say Disruptive has secured about $7.5bn in commitments and plans to deploy the capital into roughly 10 late‑stage companies over the next two years.

OpenAI announced on the 7th (local time) it has launched GPT-6 with an Intelligent UI for global Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users and will open GPT-6 to free and Go users from tomorrow. Paid tiers will be served by GPT-6 Sol; the free and Go tiers will run on GPT-6 Luna; both variants are optimized for everyday conversation. The update applies to ChatGPT's Chat tab; models used by Work and Codex are unchanged.
