As of Oct 9, Guangzhou Baiyun border inspection reported the station processed more than 100,000 inbound and outbound passenger and cargo flights year-to-date, up 12.3% YoY and the fastest annual pace on record. Passenger services have expanded: the airport now handles over 140 inbound/outbound passenger and cargo routes covering 105 destinations. Year-to-date passenger flight movements total about 81,000, up 16.7% YoY. This year Baiyun added more than 20 direct Guangzhou routes to Belt and Road partner countries, including Astana, and launched two intercontinental routes, further raising the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area's international hub capacity.

According to the Financial Times, NVIDIA is in early-stage talks to acquire US startup Reflection AI or increase its investment, people familiar with the matter said. Reflection AI develops open-weight models. Talks could take multiple forms, including a talent acquisition — hiring staff and licensing technology — to avoid lengthy regulatory review. NVIDIA is already one of Reflection’s largest shareholders and could instead deepen ties via further equity or by supplying more chips and compute. People said a deal could be reached within weeks. Reflection was valued at $25 bln in a March funding round.
