Trump on Saturday named Katie Bailey, a former Republican congressional staffer,
as director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. Bailey, deputy
director since early summer, will oversee coordination of cabinet nominations
and confirmations, congressional relations and advancement of White House
legislative priorities; she replaces the prior director who left in September.
Trump said Bailey helped advance confirmations for the homeland security
secretary, the director of national intelligence and the labor secretary. Bailey
previously worked for Senators Mike Braun and Tom Coburn and served on multiple
congressional committees.
