A long-idled refinery near Yangon resumed commercial operations on Wednesday for the first time in nearly a decade, part of Myanmar’s drive to reduce imports of gasoline and jet fuel. The Danlin refinery’s first phase is now online; a second phase is scheduled for completion in 2028. At full capacity the plant will process more than 60,000 barrels per day, meeting roughly half of Myanmar’s domestic fuel demand.
