WHITE HOUSE deputy press secretary Anna Kelly said Iran is 'in very bad shape' economically and militarily, that U.S. efforts to block Iranian ports and re-route Gulf oil via the strait are working, and that the U.S. will not strike Iran before the midterms. Restarted Israeli action in the coming weeks has not been ruled out.
