In September 2026 Douyin Group's de-duplicated total users by app were: Douyin 1.029 bln, Hongguo (free short-drama app) 430 mln and Doubao 419 mln; Hongguo has overtaken Doubao. A year earlier the group's top three were Douyin, Toutiao and Douyin Lite. Short dramas are emerging as a new battleground as major platforms reshape their traffic matrix and compete to own the user's decision starting point.

Diwei II Space Technology (Hangzhou) Co. and Oman Lens Ltd signed a space artificial intelligence agreement, marking the first overseas constellation by a Chinese commercial space firm and the largest single overseas commercial-satellite project and cooperation value on record for China’s commercial space sector. The deal centers on two initiatives: a Space Silk Road program focused on building an Oman Lens constellation and a Space Leadership Talent program. The initial batch is expected to include 20 satellites.
