According to Counterpoint Research, global smartphone shipments fell 19% YoY in
Q3 2026 while industry revenue rose 3% to $114.0 bln as ASPs jumped 27% to a
quarterly record $442, offsetting the volume decline. Counterpoint attributes
the ASP surge to a stronger high‑end mix and industry-wide price hikes driven by
rising memory costs; Apple recorded its highest revenue for the quarter.
