GEM Co., Ltd. attended the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s Global Circular Economy and Green Industry Week in Vienna on Nov. 2–4. On Nov. 2 GEM and UNIDO signed a joint declaration at UNIDO headquarters to deepen comprehensive cooperation in the circular economy and promote sustainable development of the critical-minerals value chain for batteries.

ECB President Lagarde said the bank has not observed second‑round effects beyond its projections and is monitoring forward‑looking indicators such as multi‑year wage deals and firms' wage expectations, but has seen no signs of change. She said it is premature to pre-judge adjustments to the projections, while noting that since the September forecasts the energy futures curve and long‑term yields have risen — which will affect inflation and growth, despite a recent pullback in oil — and the ECB's updated projections will determine how these factors feed into medium‑term inflation.

President Trump ordered the Department of Justice to immediately investigate what he called Democratic threats to use impeachment and imprisonment as political weapons, accusing Democrats of targeting the attorney general and other officials and of threatening criminal penalties against Republican donors and supporters despite, he said, lacking grounds. Trump singled out Michigan Democrat Elissa Slotkin as an example of a lawmaker who has threatened to prosecute young people for espousing Republican views and urged Republicans to respond quickly.
