With Sudan's civil war entering its fourth year, the EU is expected to approve new trade curbs on Sudan's gold sector on Monday under a Dutch-French initiative. Measures reported include a ban on imports of Sudanese gold, bans on sales of cyanide and mercury to Sudan, and restrictions to prevent re-exports of Sudanese gold to the EU via third countries. The package is aimed at curbing an industry that may fund the conflict; the EU has also imposed sanctions on individuals linked to the fighting. The European Commission has not commented.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs and 13 other ministries published a three-year action plan (2026–2028) to expand and upgrade China’s rehabilitation assistive devices industry. The plan sets six priority actions: application demonstration, industrial optimization and upgrading, innovation capacity building, enhanced policy effectiveness, market environment improvement, and workforce development. On the application side it promotes multi-scenario integration of rehabilitation-assistive-device services, a “center + site” urban–rural service network and shared-leasing models. On the industrial side it targets clusters in Jing-Jin-Ji, the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area to cultivate leading and specialized SMEs and accelerate smart manufacturing and green factory construction. On innovation it prioritizes medical-engineering integration, targets frontier technologies including brain–computer interfaces, eldercare robots and bionic prostheses, and calls for national-level research platforms and streamlined commercialization pathways.

China's State Council issued the National Health '15th Five-Year Plan', specifying targets, policy measures and major projects to accelerate construction of Healthy China during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

The General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued opinions to strengthen the natural‑resource asset management system. They require a reinforced inventory, statistics and accounting framework that integrates resource surveys, land‑space monitoring, property‑rights registration and grading/valuation. Authorities will carry out regular natural‑resource asset inventories to determine physical volumes, explore methods to account for value, establish baseline asset figures and clarify usage rights, with annual updates and stronger analytical use of results. The guidance also mandates a statistical system for publicly owned natural‑resource assets, improved compilation of natural‑resource asset balance sheets with routine reporting, and exploration of natural capital accounting.

Iran's foreign ministry said Iran did not attack any country in the region; its military strikes targeted only U.S. positions and were in response to U.S. attacks. Tehran has repeatedly urged neighboring states not to allow the U.S. or Israel to use their territory to attack Iran.
