Anthropic said it inadvertently included internal source code in a release of
its Claude coding agent due to a packaging error, adding no sensitive data or
credentials were exposed. The incident, its second in a week, prompted
developers to analyze the code for insights into product plans and raised
concerns about potential vulnerabilities. The slip follows a prior disclosure in
which thousands of files were accidentally made public, including details of an
upcoming model.
