years. Nationwide mean precipitation was 70.9 mm, 16.3% above climatology.
Southern regions experienced widespread heavy rain and severe convective storms;
precipitation extremeness was notable, with long-duration, wide-impact heavy
rainfall episodes. Haihe basin precipitation was 110.6 mm, nearly double normal
and the highest for the period since 1961. Yellow River basin precipitation was
86.5 mm, about 1.2x normal and the third-highest on record for the period.
