China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee chairman ZHAO LEJI made an
official visit to Russia from 27–30, holding talks in Moscow with Federation
Council chair Valentina Matviyenko and State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and
attending the 11th meeting of the China‑Russia Parliamentary Cooperation
Committee. Zhao said inter‑parliamentary exchange mechanisms have been
strengthened and have helped optimize the bilateral legal framework and solidify
public support for the relationship. The sides agreed to maintain multi‑level,
multi‑sector exchanges to deepen mutual understanding and trust and to share
legislative experience on national security, environmental protection,
artificial intelligence and foreign‑related rule of law.
