SoftBank has pledged €75 bln to build what it says will be Europe’s largest AI facility in France, the Financial Times reports.

Cuba’s Revolutionary Armed Forces said Chief of the General Staff Roberto Legra Sotolongo met US Southern Command commander Donovan on the 29th to discuss security of the boundary area around the US naval base at Guantanamo Bay and agreed to maintain military command-level communications. US Southern Command had earlier posted that Donovan met senior Cuban military leaders near the base and held a brief exchange on military operational safety.

US Defense Secretary Hegseth said the US still has global obligations, including preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
