China’s zero-tariff program for 53 African diplomatic partners, effective May
1–31, 2026, generated over 470 mln yuan of eligible imports through the
Guangzhou customs district, customs said. About 380 mln yuan of that value came
from 20 partners not classified as least-developed countries, including Libya,
South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria and Zimbabwe; tariff reductions exceeded 43 mln
yuan.
