The 16th Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit convened in Dongguan. Dai Weimin, vice-chair of the China Semiconductor Industry Association IC Design Branch, said the forum typically recommends about 10 Chinese chips a year and has promoted 93 companies to date; the post-forum listing rate is 20.4% with seven companies currently pursuing listings. Cumulatively the forum has promoted 129 chips, of which 119 are in mass production, implying a mass-production rate of 92.2%.
