Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health emergency operations center said Israeli
strikes since the early hours of June 19 local time have killed 47 people and
injured 97. Lebanese media reported that less than an hour after Israel and
Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire, Israeli forces continued heavy bombardment of
southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said it immediately began complying with the
agreement but reserved the right "to respond if Israel violates the ceasefire."
