From July 4, the immersive cultural-tourism train Jinlv Shiguang will operate a new Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei route, adding Guangyang station (Langfang, Hebei) and Tanggu station (Tianjin Binhai New Area) to the existing Beijing–Tianjin service. The weekend-and-holiday service is jointly run by Tianjin Tourism (Holding) Group and China Railway Beijing Group and is presented as part of efforts to advance Jing-Jin-Ji coordinated development and deepen transport–tourism integration.

On July 4 the China Coast Guard conducted law-enforcement patrols in waters east of Taiwan, using the term 'routine' in its report for the first time compared with last month. Marine expert Yang Xiao said 'routine' denotes continuous enforcement operations intended to assert sovereignty. The coast guard has implemented regular patrols of the Diaoyu Islands and affiliated islets and routine enforcement around Huangyan Island (Scarborough Shoal). The agency said it logged 357 days of patrols around the Diaoyu Islands in 2025, which China says demonstrates its undisputed sovereignty over the islands and their territorial waters.

Samsung Electronics intends to raise average DRAM selling prices by roughly 20% quarter-on-quarter in Q3, suppliers said. One consumer electronics OEM said Samsung discussed the move in June and has begun issuing verbal price notices to some customers. Suppliers warned higher upstream component costs will be passed into device prices and could temper demand, though they expect limited impact on consumer purchases given current low retail price levels. A separate industry source also confirmed Samsung has orally quoted select clients for a 20% Q3 DRAM increase.
