A South Korean court upheld part of Samsung Electronics' claim, barring two former NAND flash designers from working for SK Hynix and its affiliates until April 30, 2027. Suwon District Court said Samsung had sought a two-year non‑compete; the court shortened the restriction to 18 months.

A maritime advisory said the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz remained open to shipping on Sunday despite reciprocal US‑Iran attacks and Iran's announcement that it had closed the strait.

On July 12 local time a US official denied Iranian claims that US facilities at a Jordanian base were hit, saying there were no US casualties, the vast majority of missiles and drones fired by Iran were intercepted or shot down, and there are no reports of significant damage to US facilities. Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its strike on the Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan destroyed the base’s command-and-control center and an MQ-9 drone hangar.
