The U.S. Department of Defense has, for the first time in more than 20 years, blocked public release of the annual F-35 program report compiled for Congress. The report, issued annually since 2005, was withheld after reviewers identified classified material unsuitable for disclosure. The F-35 program has repeatedly been criticized for budget overruns, engine delivery delays, postponed software updates and premature parts wear.

Envision Power said its Yichang super factory has started production. The plant makes the world's largest prismatic-wound 790Ah energy-storage cell with an energy density of 440 Wh/L; over 50% of that cell capacity is already reserved by overseas orders, effectively making initial output export-oriented. Yichang is promoted as the first global 100+ GWh full-chain energy-storage base: phase I targets 40 GWh of cell capacity and began construction in October 2025, while phase II — planned for 60 GWh of cells and 60 GWh of storage-system capacity — started construction in April this year.
