SpaceX is negotiating with the Pentagon to supply compute capacity worth tens of billions of dollars to run AI models; talks remain ongoing and could still collapse. Sources say SpaceX signed similar deals with Anthropic and Google in recent months and plans a major expansion of its cloud-computing business. In recent weeks employees discussed offering compute to AI customers at lower prices to compete directly with existing suppliers such as CoreWeave.

Reserve Bank of India Governor Malhotra said inflation remains elevated and recent price pressure has been driven mainly by supply-side factors. Official data earlier this week showed inflation rose above the RBI’s 4% target for the first time in 18 months. The central bank has held its policy rate at 5.25% so far this year; Malhotra said it is still too early to discuss tightening. Since his remarks, renewed US–Iran hostilities have threatened shipping through the Strait of Hormuz; India relies on imports for about 90% of its oil, and before the end‑February escalation roughly half of those imports passed via that route.

The Industry Association said its analysis shows that in 1H 2026 (Jan–Jun) the top 10 automaker groups sold 12.649 mln vehicles, accounting for 84.2% of China’s total auto sales. Geely Holding, Chery Holding, GAC Group and Great Wall Motor posted YoY sales gains; the other six firms recorded declines.
