SpaceX is negotiating with the Pentagon to supply compute capacity worth tens of
billions of dollars to run AI models; talks remain ongoing and could still
collapse. Sources say SpaceX signed similar deals with Anthropic and Google in
recent months and plans a major expansion of its cloud-computing business. In
recent weeks employees discussed offering compute to AI customers at lower
prices to compete directly with existing suppliers such as CoreWeave.
