Shanghai Yidian, together with Shanghai Telecom, Shanghai Mobile and Shanghai
Unicom, has begun trial operations of a citywide education compute zone. The
public compute pool, aimed at primary and secondary schools and universities
across Shanghai, consolidates Shanghai Yidian’s compute base with the three
carriers’ resources via the municipal intelligent compute resource orchestration
platform. It deploys an independent, domestically produced compute-hardware
cluster and can support token output exceeding 100 billion per day.
