Shipping data shows two of four oil tankers, after altering course in the Red Sea, have listed the Suez Canal as their next destination.

At the morning session close, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Palladium rose over 5%; Shanghai silver gained about 5%; platinum, Shanghai crude (SC) and fuel oil climbed more than 4%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) was up over 3%; Shanghai gold advanced nearly 3%. On the downside, caustic soda, soybean oil and iron ore fell more than 1%; styrene (EB), Shanghai lead, rapeseed oil and benzene declined about 1%.
