The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) rose for a second day, up 10 pts (0.37%) to 2,725,
led by stronger cape rates. The Baltic Cape Index (BCI) gained 84 pts (2%) to
4,198, its highest since July 16; Cape daily earnings rose $764 to $34,569. The
Panamax Index (BPI) fell 56 pts (2.6%) to 2,064, a one-month low; Panamax daily
earnings dropped $509 to $18,574. The Supramax Index (BSI) slipped 13 pts (0.8%)
to 1,702, its lowest since July 9. The Handysize Index (BHSI) rose 1 pt to 906.
