Apple has pressed upstream suppliers to cut OLED panel prices for the iPhone 18 Pro Max to about $70, roughly 20% below the previous generation, citing rising memory chip costs that have pushed up device production costs, foreign media reported on July 24. Industry sources estimate Samsung Display and LG Display currently supply panels at an average price of $66.5, below Apple’s requested $70.

The Financial Services Commission said on the 24th it will bring forward to the 31st of this month the strengthened base margin measures for single-stock leveraged ETFs originally scheduled for next month. In a supplemental plan released on the 16th, the FSC said the base margin will rise from 10 mln won to 30 mln won and must be held in cash only, a move described as intended to rapidly stabilize market demand.
