US outlets, citing unnamed sources on July 24, reported that Bahrain and Kuwait earlier this month covertly dispatched warplanes to strike targets inside Iran, including drone and missile storage facilities. The report said the UAE provided targeting intelligence and aerial cover. Kuwait’s ambassador to the United States denied Kuwait participated in any military action against Iran and said Kuwait would not allow its territory to be used to attack neighbors. Bahrain has not commented.
