The Korea Automobile and Mobility Association (KAMA) reported that South Korea's automobile exports rose 2.1% year-on-year in the first half of this year, reaching 1.441 million units. The proportion of environmentally friendly models exported increased from 30.0% in the same period last year to 37.0%. However, affected by high inflation and interest rate hikes in major global countries, South Korean automobile exports are expected to decline by 0.3% year-on-year in the second half of the year, to 1.32 million units. Full-year exports are projected to reach 2.76 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of 0.9%.
