TrendForce reports NVIDIA has started shipping its new Spectrum‑X co‑packaged optics (CPO) switches to select partners while Broadcom’s 51.2T Bailly CPO switches continue to ship in small volumes, signaling a move toward volume production for CPO. Availability and yields of optical engines, silicon photonics chips and advanced packaging capacity will be the main constraints on the pace of CPO switch production ramps.
