OpenAI asked a federal judge to dismiss Apple’s trade-secret theft lawsuit, saying the allegations lack merit. In court papers OpenAI’s lawyers said Apple mischaracterizes employee conduct, that a senior OpenAI hardware executive followed industry-standard recruiting practices when interviewing Apple staff, and that the employee Apple accuses of stealing secrets was assisting a former Apple colleague.
