China A-shares opened higher but finished weaker, with late selling pushing all three major indexes into the red. At the close the Shanghai Composite fell 0.50%, the Shenzhen Composite Index fell 0.87% and the ChiNext Index fell 0.45% after erasing an early ~2% gain. Turnover across the two markets exceeded 2.5 trillion yuan and more than 4,000 stocks declined. CRO-related names outperformed and power stocks jumped intraday; compute-power leasing and CPO segments spiked then retreated. Base metals led sector losses across multiple subsectors, while education stocks' declines widened into the close.

The dollar index, measuring the dollar against six major currencies, fell 0.05% to 99.964 at the New York close on the 13th. EUR/USD 1.1529, up from 1.1521; GBP/USD 1.3485, down from 1.3488. USD/JPY 159.51, up from 159.49; USD/CHF 0.8139, up from 0.8137. USD/CAD 1.3936, down from 1.3947; USD/SEK 9.5684, down from 9.5858.
