OpenAI has signed a 10 GW data‑center lease with SB Energy in Ohio. People familiar with the matter say NVIDIA has committed support to help raise debt financing by guaranteeing part of the value of completed data‑center assets, starting with the first phase (about 5 GW). In return NVIDIA will be the exclusive chip supplier for the first half of the project and will take an equity stake in SB Energy. NVIDIA may later expand its guarantees to the entire campus. The guarantees are structured against asset value rather than OpenAI’s ongoing rent, a design intended to limit NVIDIA’s risk while boosting lender confidence and lowering financing costs.

On the 17th the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on social media that in the early hours Ukrainian forces struck Russian storage, launch and control facilities for attack drones in Crimea and Kherson. The statement said a storage and launch site near Gvardeyskoye village in Crimea caught fire; a ground control station in western Crimea was hit; and communications and power equipment at a drone relay station southwest of Kherson were struck. Ukraine said it will continue targeting key Russian military assets.
