At the morning close, China's most-active futures were mixed. Energy and
petrochemicals led gains: Shanghai crude (SC) up over 5%, liquefied petroleum
gas (LPG) near 5%, fuel oil above 4%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), ethylene glycol
(EG) and synthetic rubber rose over 3%, benzene nearly 3%. Lagging were metals
and other industrials: Shanghai tin, international copper, Shanghai copper and
polysilicon fell more than 1%; Shanghai zinc, industrial silicon and egg futures
were down about 1%.
