Mingyang’s self-developed, self-manufactured Tianqi MCD5.0 5.0 MW ultra-low-wind-speed turbine, which the company says is the world’s first, rolled off the production line at its Guizhou facility on Aug. 21. Tailored for ultra-low-wind regions, the unit has a cut-in wind speed of 2.5 m/s, a swept area of 7.74 m²/kW and is projected to deliver about 1,850 annual generation hours at 4.5 m/s.

Zhejiang Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) under recall number S2026M0102V to recall 92,658 Zeekr 007 and Zeekr X vehicles produced from Mar 1, 2023 to May 21, 2026, effective Aug 24, 2026. Affected cars have interior emergency mechanical door handles that closely match surrounding trim, reducing visibility and operability; in severe collisions that cause vehicle low-voltage system failure this may impede rapid door opening for occupant escape or external rescue, creating a safety hazard.
