The agency said compute acts as the “brain,” enabling intelligent dispatch and improved renewable absorption in new power grids; collaborating with next‑gen communications to accelerate data flow, model training and applications; supporting basin‑level water forecasting and dynamic water allocation; enabling real‑time monitoring, risk warning and emergency linkage for urban lifeline systems (gas, drainage, heating); and linking logistics to lower costs and boost supply‑chain efficiency. It reported national intelligent compute capacity of 2.45 million PFLOPS (FP16) as of end‑July, with eight national compute hubs and three power‑compute coordination zones comprising over 85% of the country’s compute scale.
