Market sources say Greece and Israel plan to sign a $3.4 billion air-defence agreement.

Al Jazeera reported that Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada said it will only cooperate with domestic weapons regulation if 10 conditions are met, chief among them a complete US military withdrawal from Iraq. The Iran-linked group, with longstanding ties to the IRGC, demands an end to any US military presence, a ban on using Iraqi airspace to strike neighboring states, and says weapons may be placed under state control only if Iraqi armed forces and air defenses are simultaneously strengthened. Other conditions include withdrawal of PKK fighters from Iraqi territory, federal control of Kurdish borders, and removal of Iranian opposition groups stationed in northern Iraq.

IAEA Director General Grossi said on Aug 29 that external power to the ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEAR PLANT has been interrupted for more than a week and the site is running on emergency diesel generators to maintain safety and security. The IAEA warned that if off‑site power is not restored or diesel supplies are not replenished soon, the plant could face a full station blackout in about 10 days. The plant reported on Aug 29 that on‑site diesel stocks are sufficient for roughly 10 days and meet minimum regulatory requirements. The IAEA said the last diesel delivery was in March and a planned follow‑up in May was delayed due to frequent local military activity.
