On Sept. 4, U.S. officials said the military launched a large-scale leak investigation after highly sensitive classified information on its advanced weapons inventory was disclosed by the media. Investigators briefly feared a possible foreign-intelligence mole because access to the inventory was tightly limited; sources say no one failed the polygraph questions used to determine whether they had leaked to the media. Trump is reported to be angry about the disclosures.
