10-year Treasury yield of 5.00%-5.25% would be sufficient to trigger a 10%
pullback from peak; 22% set the trigger at 5.25%-5.50%. The benchmark 10-year
yield climbed above 4.96% to a three-year high on Thursday after a Middle East
conflict sparked by Trump’s actions pushed oil above $100 a barrel, heightening
inflation pressure and concern over a Fed response. RSM chief economist Joseph
Brusuelas said investors increasingly view equities as vulnerable to a
correction as economic data and central-bank policy provide a reality check for
risk appetite.
