China published a plan to develop Zhongguancun into a world-leading science park, targeting a basically completed, world-leading park by 2030. The plan aims for sustained emergence of globally leading technologies and flagship products, formation of world-class industry clusters with technological leadership, and positioning Zhongguancun as an origin of new industry tracks, a hub for world-class firms, a top global investment destination and a high-level talent center. It calls for concentrated industrial agglomeration, active open innovation, efficient institutional mechanisms, improved infrastructure and a high-quality environment.

U.S. special envoy Cole said 25 prisoners were released from Belarus today and that Washington will continue to improve U.S.–Belarus relations while working to secure additional releases in the near future.
