U.S. President Trump returned to the White House on the evening of Sept. 19 Eastern Time after shortening a weekend at Camp David in Maryland, Axios reported; the reason for the early return was unclear. CNN said Trump had been reviewing and evaluating options to strike Houthi forces in Yemen.

President Trump posted on social media that, at the U.S. military’s strong request and for national security purposes, he has agreed to convert the planned triumphal arch at the reception plaza beside Arlington Memorial Bridge into a top-tier military complex. He said the facility would house, store and enable rapid deployment of large numbers of drones, deploy snipers on the roof and plaza, and stockpile substantial quantities of sniper ammunition.
