Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) said Zawiya refinery shut one refining unit after armed groups continued to close a valve on the Sharara crude pipeline. NOC is considering importing a cargo of crude via Mellitah or Sidra ports to keep Zawiya operating.

Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga and Serie A said on the 25th in a joint statement that FIFA president Gianni Infantino has not prevented and has actively advanced what they called exploitative proposals, and they called for "fundamental" governance reform at FIFA. The leagues urged a more transparent, objective, balanced and inclusive governance framework. They noted FIFA's plan to create a "FIFA Forward company" — which would have introduced private investors into FIFA's commercial rights — was withdrawn after broad controversy. The leagues said stakeholders forced the withdrawal but that the conditions enabling the plan remain, calling the episode one of the biggest abuses of power in FIFA's history.
