Sept. 28 — At a pilot facility in Lanshan District, Rizhao, Shandong, a
China-developed thermally coupled seawater hydrogen and marine strategic
elements co‑production system ran continuously for more than 1,000 hours.
Developers say the run overcomes a key technical hurdle for co‑production. The
unit can process about 800 tonnes of seawater per year and produce roughly
260,000 standard cubic meters of high‑purity hydrogen annually, cutting CO2
emissions by about 460 tonnes per year.
