Sept. 28 — At a pilot facility in Lanshan District, Rizhao, Shandong, a
China-developed thermally coupled seawater hydrogen and marine strategic
elements co-production system ran continuously for more than 1,000 hours.
Developers say the run overcomes a key technical hurdle for co‑production. The
unit can process about 800 tons of seawater per year and produce roughly
260,000 standard cubic meters of high-purity hydrogen annually, cutting CO2
emissions by about 460 tons per year.
